Terms & Conditions

1. About us and these terms

1.1 We are Lurentice Trading Ltd, trading as Comfli Furniture ("Comfli", "we", "us"). We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12861361. Our registered office is Suite 4, Second Floor, Viscount House, River Lane, Saltney CH4 8RH. Our furniture is dispatched from our base in Lincolnshire.

1.2 You can contact us through the contact form on our website, by email at support@comfli.co.uk or by phone on 07456 055723. We aim to reply to emails within 1 working day.

1.3 These terms apply to every order you place on comfli.co.uk. Please read them before you order. They tell you who we are, how we deliver, how you can cancel, what to do if there is a problem, and how our guarantee works.

1.4 These terms are for customers buying as consumers for their own home. If you are buying for a business, please contact us first, as different terms apply.

1.5 Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

2. Your order and our contract

2.1 When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging it. This does not mean we have accepted your order.

2.2 Our acceptance takes place when we email you to confirm your order, at which point a contract comes into existence between you and us.

2.3 We may not be able to accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock, because of an error in the price or description, or because we cannot deliver to your address. If so, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

2.4 We assign each order a number. Please quote it whenever you contact us about your order.

2.5 Product images are as accurate as we can make them, but colours can look different on different screens and fabrics vary slightly between batches. Measurements are given in centimetres and may vary by up to 2-3 cm.

3. Prices and payment

3.1 Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT at the current rate.

3.2 Delivery charges are shown separately before you pay (see section 4).

3.3 If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you. You can then choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel your order for a full refund.

3.4 We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including debit and credit cards, PayPal and Google Pay. Payment is taken when you place your order.

4. Delivery and assembly

4.1 We deliver to addresses in mainland England and Wales. We do not currently deliver to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or other islands.

4.2 Delivery costs £79 per order and is free on orders over £1,500.

4.3 In-stock items are usually delivered within 1 to 10 days of our order confirmation. We will confirm your delivery day in advance. If an item is not in stock, we will tell you the expected delivery time before you order. In any case, we will deliver within 30 days unless we agree a later date with you.

4.4 Our two-person team will carry your furniture into the room of your choice and assemble it there. Please make sure someone aged 18 or over is at home.

4.5 Before you order, please measure your doorways, hallways, stairs and the room where the furniture will go, using the dimensions on the product page. Our team may decline to carry an item where doing so would risk injury or damage to your property, for example over unsafe stairs or through a window.

4.6 If nobody is home at the agreed time, we will leave a note and contact you to rearrange. If we cannot deliver after two attempts, or you do not rearrange within 14 days, we may charge you for the redelivery or for storage, or end the contract and refund you less our reasonable costs.

4.7 Please check your furniture with the delivery team present and tell them about any visible damage. If you notice damage or a missing part later, contact us within 7 days of delivery.

4.8 Your furniture becomes your responsibility once it has been delivered to you. It becomes your property once we have received full payment.

5. Your right to cancel

5.1 You can change your mind and cancel your order within 30 days, starting the day after your furniture is delivered. You do not need to give a reason. This is longer than the 14 days the law gives you when you buy online.

5.2 You can also cancel at any time before delivery. We will refund you in full, including any delivery charge.

5.3 To cancel, tell us clearly within the 30 days, using our contact form, by email to support@comfli.co.uk, or by sending us the model cancellation form in section 13. You do not have to use the form.

5.4 Our furniture is too large to send back by post, so we will arrange collection. The collection charge depends on the size of your order and is up to £99. We will confirm the exact amount when you contact us and deduct it from your refund. Please have the item ready for collection within 30 days of telling us you are cancelling.

5.5 Please keep the item in the same condition as when it was delivered. You may inspect and sit on it as you would in a shop. If it has been damaged or used beyond that, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.

5.6 We will refund the price of the item and the standard delivery charge you paid, less any deduction under 5.4 or 5.5. We will refund you within 14 days of collecting the item, using the payment method you used.

6. Won't fit? Full refund

6.1 If your furniture cannot be carried into your home because of its size, our delivery team will take it away again. We will give you a full refund, including delivery, and will not charge for the return.

6.2 This promise applies where you have checked the measurements on the product page against your doorways, hallways and stairs before ordering, and our team has made a reasonable attempt to carry it in. It does not apply where access was not as you described it to us, or where the room itself is too small for the item.

7. If your furniture is faulty

7.1 We must supply furniture that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, in summary:

  • Up to 30 days after delivery: you can reject a faulty item and get a full refund.
  • After 30 days: you can ask us to repair or replace it. If that is not possible, or does not fix the problem, you can get a refund or a price reduction.
  • Up to 6 years after delivery: you can make a claim for a fault that was present when the item was delivered. For faults reported more than 6 months after delivery, you may need to show that the fault was present at delivery, for example with an independent inspection report.

7.2 To report a fault, use the claim form on our Guarantee page and include photos. We will respond within 2 working days.

7.3 These rights do not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or damage caused after delivery.

8. Our 10-year frame guarantee

8.1 In addition to your legal rights, every sofa and chair we sell (except items in section 9) comes with a 10-year guarantee on its hardwood frame.

8.2 The guarantee covers manufacturing defects in the frame and starts on the day your furniture is delivered.

8.3 If a valid claim is made under this guarantee, we will repair the frame. If a repair is not possible, we will replace the affected part. This guarantee does not include an exchange or refund of the whole item. Your legal rights in section 7 still apply.

8.4 The guarantee applies to furniture used in a home. It does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear, or natural fading of fabrics
  • accidental or deliberate damage, misuse or lack of care, including sitting or standing on the arms
  • commercial or business use
  • damage from incorrect assembly, alterations or repairs not made by us
  • fabrics, cushions, fillings and electrical parts such as recliner motors and controls.

8.5 The guarantee is for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.

8.6 To claim, use the claim form on our Guarantee page with your order number and photos of the fault. We may ask to inspect the item, or for an independent inspection report. Full details are on our Guarantee page.

8.7 This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

9. Sale and clearance items

9.1 Items in our sale or clearance section are not covered by the 10-year frame guarantee in section 8.

9.2 Your legal rights in section 7 still apply to sale and clearance items, except for faults that we told you about before you bought, or that you could reasonably have seen when you made your purchase.

10. Our responsibility to you

10.1 If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to take reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

10.2 We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.

10.3 If our delivery team damages your property during delivery or assembly, we will make good the damage. Please tell us within 7 days, with photos.

10.4 We supply our furniture for domestic and private use only. We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.

10.5 We are not responsible for delays outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures or supplier failures. If one happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and agree a new delivery date. If the delay is likely to be significant, you can cancel and receive a full refund.

11. Complaints

11.1 If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us first through our contact form or at support@comfli.co.uk. We aim to resolve complaints quickly and fairly.

11.2 If your complaint is about a finance agreement and you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service within 6 months of our final response.

11.3 For other complaints, you can contact Citizens Advice for free guidance, or take your claim to court (see section 12.6).

12. General terms

12.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one on our website when you place it.

12.2 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens and make sure it does not affect your rights.

12.3 You may only transfer your rights under these terms to another person with our written agreement.

12.4 This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce its terms.

12.5 If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the rest will continue in force.

12.6 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
